Our Journey to Net Zero 2045
Climate Change is the biggest challenge we face. Discover how we are addressing it.
Climate change is one of the biggest challenges we face. We're pleased to introduce our new microsite: Net Zero 2045 detailing our pathway to Net Zero and our commitment to construct a better world for future generations.

We aspire to be recognised not only for our exceptional work with clients and communities but also our dedication to build a sustainable future. Our actions today will shape the future heritage of Britain.
The buildings and infrastructure that make up our built environment are a significant source of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG). These emissions contribute to the pressing issue of climate change. Reducing these emissions and transitioning to Net Zero is a monumental challenge that calls for collective effort.
We understand that tackling this challenge isn't easy. It cannot be achieved by us alone, and it necessitates collaborative actions on a global scale. That's why we have developed our carbon principles; a set of guiding values that underpin our Net Zero strategy.
In 2020, we took a bold step by committing to become Net Zero by 2025 for our direct emissions (Scope 1 & 2). We're now halfway towards achieving this milestone. However, we acknowledge that this is just the beginning of our journey.
Our commitment goes beyond simply offsetting our direct emissions by 2025; we believe that Net Zero should mean more than that. This year we had our Net Zero targets officially assessed approved by the SBTi. Doing so makes sure that we have a robust target which is future proofed and importantly drives us to do our but in tacking climate change.
This enables us to set ambitious and credible science-based Net Zero targets, aligned with the Paris Agreement’s goal of keeping planetary warming to 1.5°C, thus limiting the worst impacts of climate change.
Ultimately our aim is to be Net Zero for our full value chain (Scope 1,2&3) by 2045.
Our hope is that with our targets set, each and every one of us will do our bit to help us decarbonise our operations. Together, we can deliver remarkable projects and a world where future generations can thrive. Visit our Net Zero 2045 page today and be a part of our mission to leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.
